Watch brazen Ajax fan cheekily steal Antony’s shirt after he comes over to give it to a youngster in stands

THIS IS the moment a brazen Ajax fan stole the shirt of star player Antony while he was trying to hand it off to a young boy.

The Brazilian forward netted the winner in a sensational 3-2 epic against Der Klassiker rivals Feyenoord.

And after the game he went over to the stands to hand his shirt to a dumbstruck kid.

But before he could do so, an opportunistic man nicked the shirt from Anthony’s hand and scampered off with it.

The Ajax man looked utterly confused but continued to chat with the boy after he missed out on receiving the shirt.

And it was later confirmed that the shirt had been returned to the club and will be auctioned off to raise money for charity.

A club statement read: “Ajax is going to auction Antony’s match shirt with which he excelled in Der Klassiker. The Brazilian is currently on his way to Brazil for international obligations with the Selecao, but will sign the shirt when he returns to Amsterdam. After that it will be auctioned and Ajax will donate the proceeds to Stichting Support Emma Children’s Hospital.

“With the proceeds from this shirt we can make the care for seriously ill children in the Emma Children’s Hospital even better. It is fantastic that Antony, together with the Ajax Foundation, is committed to children with cancer who deserve the very best care.

“Antony became the match winner of a very compelling Klassiker on Sunday. He scored in the 86th minute from a pass by Nico Tagliafico for the 3-2 victory and celebrated that in a very exuberant way. The shirt was returned to Ajax on Monday morning.

“Ajax will come at a later time with more information about how you can bid on the shirt.”

And it was a thrilling match which ended with reigning Eredivisie champions Ajax taking all three points at the Amsterdam Arena.
