Tottenham are leading the chase for the Sporting Lisbon right-back.

And several other clubs also keeping tabs on him.

But City negotiated a clause that pays them 30 per cent of any profit Sporting make on Porro.

Reports in Portugal say they will want around £26m if they allow him to move in the upcoming transfer window.

City also inserted an option that they can match any bids for Porro.

But the champs are unlikely to be in the market for him.

Etihad boss Pep Guardiola has been impressed by the emergence of 18-year-old Rico Lewis this season.

And the Spaniard also has veterans Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo in that position.

Indeed, despite being five points off leaders Arsenal, Guardiola doesn’t intend to strengthen any area of his squad in January.

Speaking before City’s 3-1 win at Leeds, he said: “I don’t think so, I think we’re going to finish [January] in this way.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen but since I arrived in Abu Dhabi with the sporting director, with Txiki and everyone, there wasn’t any name on the table.”
