TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR are in talks to sign Daniel James, according to reports.
The Leeds United winger is wanted by Spurs who want to add another attacker to their frontline before the window shuts.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Antonio Conte’s side are discussing a loan deal with an option-to-buy.
Everton have also submitted an enquiry over the Welshman’s availability.
However, Leeds would also be more than happy to keep him after he started the last two Premier League games.
Should James leave Elland Road, it would represent the third club he has represented in the space of a year.

James, 24, joined Leeds from Manchester United last summer for a club-record £30million.
He was one of only a few senior players who remained fit throughout the majority of the campaign, and contributed four goals and five assists in 34 league games.
In the two years prior he spent with Man United, the speedster managed nine goals and nine assists in all competitions.
James’ pace and work rate are highly desirable attributes for any team, despite his relative lack of goal or assist output while playing Premier League football.

Everton look set to lose starlet Anthony Gordon in a £60m transfer to Chelsea so James would naturally come in as a like-for-like replacement.
Leeds have already lost star winger Raphinha and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips to Barcelona and Manchester City respectively for a combined £100m.
However, seven points from a possible 12 at the start of the season – with new signings such as Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Tyler Adams starting the season well – have alleviated some early fears of relegation.
Leeds also want to sign Hwang Hee-Chan from Wolves, but will be joined in their pursuit by Everton if The Toffees fail to sign Ben Brereton Diaz.
