CHELSEA owner Todd Boehly has liked a tweet about Mason Mount’s contract situation, with talks set to begin over a new deal.
The 23-year-old England international is currently tied down until 2024 at Stamford Bridge.
Earlier this summer, it was reported that Mount is ready to discuss signing a new deal.
But Cesar Azpilicueta and Armando Broja have both penned contract extensions ahead of him.
And Reece James looks set to become the next player to further his stay in West London.
That’s despite reports Mount was next in line for contract talks.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said back in June: “Next Chelsea player to discuss new deal will be Mason Mount.
“Talks are already in place since long time and he’s waiting for the club to send new, final proposal. Negotiations will continue soon.”
And now Boehly has liked the tweet, an indication that Chelsea will soon open a dialogue to complete a deal with the attacker.
Mount has made 166 appearances for the Blues, scoring 30 goals and providing 31 assists.

He has also been capped 31 times by England boss Gareth Southgate, netting four goals for his country.
Mount previously stated back in July that he is happy to stay at Chelsea for the foreseeable future.
Speaking to The Athletic, he said: “I’ve got two years left on my contract and I’m very, very happy here.
“Those [contract] talks will hopefully be starting soon.”
