ALAN SHEARER dropped another woeful music pun on Match of the Day – and even HE hung his head in shame.
Shearer has been lighting up his Saturday night analysis this season with several song quips – teed up by his fellow pundits.
And he could not resist another cheeky effort as he revelled in Miguel Almiron’s superb strike during Newcastle’s win at ten-man Fulham.
The Paraguayan produced a moment of sheer brilliance with a stunning volley at Craven Cottage.
Toon hero Shearer then referenced Toni Basil hit single Hey Mickey with his comments.
The Premier League record goalscorer, struggling to contain his sniggering, said: “Hey Miggy was so fine, he blew my mind.”

Ian Wright then finished off the pun with: “Hey Miggy. Hey Miggy.”
Laughing Shearer shook his head acknowledging his proper dad joke and admitted it was “terrible” while Wright insisted it “had to be done”.
Fans were split on their reaction to the play on words.
One said: “Maybe I’m getting a bit too old, but this is tiresome at best!”

Another grump wrote: “This was really, really bizarre and not very funny. Had to watch it three times to realise what they were doing.”
But a third commented: “They make me laugh every time though to be fair.”
One said: “That Almiron bit from Shearer is why I pay my TV License.”
And a final user added: “Love these two always with the dad jokes.”
Earlier in the campaign, Shearer broke into a rendition of Valerie when analysing Jan Valery’s defending.
And Micah Richards provided the perfect assist to allow his “Onana” for Everton midfielder Amadou to the tune of Rihanna’s single What’s My Name?
