Sunderland, Huddersfield and Bristol City have £1m bids for Jack Rudoni rejected as Jackson bids to take Wimbledon up

SUNDERLAND, Huddersfield and Bristol City have all had £1million plus bids rejected by AFC Wimbledon for midfield ace Jack Rudoni.

The exciting 21-year-old starlet was the club’s Player of the Year last season.

Rudoni netted 12 goals and registered a further five assists in 41 League One matches.

As a result, he has caught the attention of a number of clubs from the Championship.

He is valued at substantially more than the £1million offered as new boss Johnnie Jackson sees Rudoni as key to the Dons winning promotion back to League One following relegation.

However, the club could sell if bids match their valuation so that funds can be used to bolster Wimbledon’s squad as they aim for an immediate return to the third tier.

Jackson is ready to get to work at The Cherry Red Records Stadium with Wimbledon players returning to training on Monday 19th June.

Jackson has said: “I will be presenting my vision and telling them [the players] what I expect in terms of standards at this football club.

“We need to get our winning mentality back – that’ll be my main focus.”

Meanwhile, Huddersfield are aiming to sign another talented youngster this summer, as SunSport exclusively revealed James McAtee could leave Man City for the Terriers on loan.

Carlos Corberan has been in contact with Etihad chiefs and the England Under-21 international could be allowed to speak to the play-off final losers.

As for Bristol City, they could be set to sell their own teenage talent as SunSport broke the news that Aston Villa are interested in Reuben McAllister.

The 16-year-old midfielder has a number of potential suitors with Newcastle, Rangers & Celtic also monitoring him.

He is the son of former Scotland international Jamie McAllister.
