STOKE have signed Dwight Gayle from Newcastle on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old striker has penned a two-year deal with the Potters after becoming surplus to requirements at St James’ Park.

The former Crystal Palace forward boasts an impressive record at Championship level, having scored 59 times in 100 second-tier appearances.
Upon joining Michael O’Neill’s side, Gayle said: “I’m buzzing to be here and I can’t wait to get started now.
“There were a few parties that were interested but for me it was about finding a club that was right for me and after speaking to the gaffer and the coaches I heard everything I wanted to hear.”

Gayle joined Newcastle from Palace in 2016, scoring 34 goals in 122 appearances for the Magpies.
During his Toon stint he spent the 2018-19 season on loan at West Brom.
Despite staying injury free last term, Gayle only made nine appearances in all competitions.
