Southampton lining up ANOTHER transfer raid on Man City’s academy with double swoop for Samuel Ezodie and Juan Larios

SOUTHAMPTON are lining up another swoop on Manchester City’s academy with winger Samuel Edozie and full-back Juan Larios in their sights.

Saints have already landed two starlets from the Etihad this summer in Gavin Bazunu and Romeo Lavia.

And boss Ralph Hassenhuttl is now looking to add two more before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Edozie was poised to join Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the summer with a £5 million deal lined up.

However that fell through and the 19-year-old – who has made just one senior appearance for Pep Guardiola’s men – is now set for a switch to St Mary’s.

He could be joined by Spaniard Larios, 18, who signed for City from Barcelona two years ago.

Southampton have also agreed a deal with Bournemouth to allow Jack Stephens to join the Cherries on loan for the season.

The defender, 28, has two years left on his current deal and joins on a straight loan with no option or obligation.

Southampton picked up their second win of the season following a 2-1 win against Chelsea.

Lavia thundered home an effort to draw Southampton level against Chelsea just minutes after conceding.

Adam Armstrong then scored what turned out to the winner in first-half injury time.

Southampton have thus far brought in six players, but could add three to their squad before the deadline with a fee for Cody Gakpo also said to have been agreed.
