EDEN HAZARD has apologised to Real Madrid fans for his injury-stricken time at the club.
The former Chelsea star, 31, has struggled to get on the pitch for the Spanish giants ahead of the World Cup.
The ex-Prem playmaker has suffered a host of injury issues since joining Madrid from the Blues for £88.5million back in 2019.
Ahead of appearing in the Qatar showcase for his national Belgium side, Hazard admitted his toil in the capital.
He said: “Madrid fans, I’m sorry. It’s not easy, I don’t play, I want to play more. I’m really sorry for what happened.
“At Chelsea, I played hundreds of games, without injuries. At Madrid, I’ve all of these injuries. It’s something I can’t explain”.

He was even booed off by Real fans in October as his nightmare continued.
This was supposed to finally be a positive season for the attacker after he impressed Real bosses by turning up to pre-season in peak condition.
But he has appeared in just THREE of Madrid’s fourteen LaLiga matches so far this season, starting in only one.
The midfield magician also suggested that his lack of playing time wasn’t ideal for the Belgium side as they go for the top prize for the first time.

He added: “We are a good team, with good players.
“We have more experience than in the World Cup in Russia 2018, but I am not playing [at Madrid], and Lukaku has had injuries.
“We have doubts, although not inside. I think there are better teams than us.”
