Ramsdale, Odegaard & Arteta channel inner-Keown with wild celebrations as Fernandes fluffs penalty after bizarre run-up

MARTIN ODEGAARD, Aaron Ramsdale and Mikel Arteta evoked memories of Martin Keown after Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty against Arsenal.

Tavares committed a daft handball inside the area which led to United being awarded a penalty.

Fernandes stuttered and stammered his run up before hopping and hitting the ball against the base of the post.

Arsenal keeper Ramsdale ran straight out towards the Portuguese star and leapt in the air to celebrate right in front of the midfielder.

And even boss Arteta was pumped up after the miss as the cameras showed him punching the air with joy before gesturing to the crowd near the dug-out.

Commentator Steve McManaman said: “Isn’t it reminiscent of someone many moons ago when Van Nistelrooy missed a penalty?”

He was referring to his fellow BT Sport pundit and Arsenal legend Keown and a brawl between United and the Gunners at Old Trafford in 2003 which led to the North London side being fined £275,000.
