Ralf Rangnick is ‘NOT on Man Utd’s three-man shortlist to become new boss at end of season’ with Pochettino top choice

MANCHESTER UNITED have drawn up a three-man shortlist for their next manager – and it reportedly does not include Ralf Rangnick.

The German, 63, is currently in the Old Trafford dugout on an interim basis and he is set to move into an advisory role at the end of the season.

As a result, the club is in discussion over who to appoint next with Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag all targeted, according to The Mail.

Pochettino is awaiting an offer to succeed Rangnick and it is likely the Paris Saint-Germain boss will accept.

The United hierarchy are keen to replace Rangnick as they feel he does not exert enough authority over his players.

That is partly because the United squad know Rangnick will only be around for six more months.

Pochettino, by comparison, has dealt with big ego players such as Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe at PSG.

And he has got the best out of his team with PSG sitting 13 points clear at the top of Ligue Un.
