LIVERPOOL star Luis Diaz’s partner, Gera Ponce, has posted a picture of the Colombian from his hospital bed following surgery.
The Reds ace, 25, has been absent from Jurgen Klopp’s side since October due to a knee injury.
And it was confirmed on Monday that he will be missing for a further three months after undergoing surgery on his lateral collateral ligament.
The decision to go under the knife came when he complained of an issue before Liverpool’s Dubai Super Cup friendly with Lyon on Sunday.
Yet despite a frustrating period for Diaz, his partner Gera, who has been at his side for years, remains very positive about his recovery.
She shared snaps of him in his hospital bed as he begins a lengthy road back to action.

Speaking on Instagram, she then added the caption: “Sometimes the difficulties that occur in our life directly prepare us to take an extraordinary path.
“Now patience and strength are essential. But, above all, the love of the family.
“We are all here for you, the same as always. And we will see you rise stronger, we love you.”
Diaz did not play in Qatar after Colombia failed to qualify for the World Cup.

On Sunday, Diaz’s manager Klopp said: “He is not in the best possible place [mentally], that is clear.
“It was a big disappointment for all of us and him as well. It was a nothing situation in training, honestly.
“And he felt something, he didn’t feel it a lot the next day but we wanted to be really cautious.
“So we said: ‘come on, let’s have a proper look’ and then the news came which was a proper smash in the face, but that’s it now.”
Liverpool’s first game back after the World Cup break comes against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on December 22.
They then return to Premier League action against Aston Villa on Boxing Day, before hosting Leicester four days later.
