Newcastle ‘planning THIRD raid of Brighton as they target academy chief John Morling to kickstart youthful revolution’

NEWCASTLE are planning ANOTHER raid on Brighton for academy chief John Morling, according to reports.

The Magpies signed Dan Burn on a permanent transfer from the Seagulls in January for a fee of around £13million.

They also snatched technical director Dan Ashworth away from their Premier League rivals.

The changes have come as the club’s new owners look to rebuild in every area.

Morling is regarded as one of the best academy directors in the country, and, according to the Daily Mail, has been earmarked for a key role at St James’ Park.

He joined Brighton in 2012 and has since been involved in the progression of players such as Ben White, Steven Alzate, Solly March and Robert Sanchez.

Newcastle have barely created any well-known academy prospects in recent years.

But, they are looking to make some changes in the near future.
