  • GOAL – Antony

Antony has scored within a half of his debut!

He makes a point of kissing the badge.

Rashford draws the defenders and he finds Antony in a world of space.

Great finish by the Brazilian who curls it into the bottom corner with his left foot.

    Man Utd 1-0 up.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

30 – Arsenal have improved over these last 15 minutes for sure.

Since the disallowed goal in fact.

    Arteta will be pleased.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

29 – Martinelli tests De Gea from a narrow angle.

Arsenal are sending crosses into the United box and looking to cause trouble.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

26 – Bruno Fernandes was fouled by Lokonga and the replay looks nasty,

An “ankle breaker” I would say. Lucky to get away with that.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

23 – Gunners are seeing way more of the ball now.

Saka has a penalty shout. No way.

Saliba then fouls Sancho and picks up a booking.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

21 – Antony cuts inside and flashes over.

Good effort from the ex-Ajax man though.

United fans would love to see more of that.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

21 – It’s pretty quiet at Old Trafford.

A quick chorus of “We’ve got super Mik Arteta” from Arsenal fans ends quickly.

It’s almost nervous energy in the whole ground.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

19 – Jesus heads wide from the resulting corner.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

19 – Saka with a dangerous mazy run into the United box!

    Arsenal win a corner.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

16 – Jesus wins a free-kick. Amazing control from a Ramdale long ball.

The Brazilian is a joy to watch when he is confident, as he has been all season so far.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

14 – Goal disallowed by VAR.

Odegaard is penalised for a foul on Eriksen in the build up.

Can argue either way for that. It’s a soft foul but a foul none the less.

    0-0. Let’s carry on.

  • GOAL – Martinelli

    Odegaard steals it from Eriksen.

Saka attacks and slides in Martinelli.

He’s too quick for Dalot and buries it past De Gea!!

    1-0 Arsenal!

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

12 – Eriksen loooked to have been fouled but not given and Arsenal attack on the break…

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

11 – The hosts have another chance in the box but it’s blocked.

85 per cent total possession so far for United!

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

8 – Dalot has been good so far going forward.

    Chances at both ends here.

A hot start for this fiery rivalry!

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

    7 –  CHANCE.

    Eriksen volleys wide.

Antony with a cruyff pass to Dalot who swings in a fantastic cross into Eriksen but the great Dane can’t find the back of the net.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

6 – Jesus exits with a head injury.

He will be assessed on the touchline.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

5 – Antony gets the ball on the right wing and there’s a collective breath in.

His cross couldn’t find anyone but it comes back to him and he runs at the defence.

Doesn’t get anywhere but the air of excitement is there.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

3 – It’s a fast start here at Old Trafford.

Both teams jabbing at one another and feeling each other out.

  • Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

1 – Good start from the hosts.

But Arsenal counter and Martinez HACKS Jesus down on the edge on the box.

  • Ready to go?

    Kick off.

    Here we go!

Arsenal in their black away kits and Man Utd in their traditional red home shirts , white shorts and black socks.

  • Top of the table

Arsenal sit in top spot going into today’s game and it will stay that way whatever happens today.

Man City dropped another two points yesterday at lowly Aston Villa.

    United are in eighth.

  • Saka’s birthday dreams

Bukayo Saka has one big wish ahead of his 21st birthday tomorrow.

This afternoon at Old Trafford, Manchester United stand in the way of Arsenal continuing their perfect start to the season and Saka being able to fully enjoy his latest milestone.

The England star said: “I’m looking forward to my 21st for sure. The perfect present would be a win over United.”

  • Believe we can win or ‘stay at home’, says Arteta

Arsenal go to Man Utd on Sunday with a poor record at Old Trafford.

The Gunners have won at their fierce rivals just once since 2006.

But boss Mikel Arteta doesn’t want his players going into the match with an inferiority complex.

He said: “I wouldn’t like any of our players feeling that way because they’re good enough to go there and win the match and I think we have the belief that can happen.

“If not, it’s better to stay at home.”

  • Head-to-head

Here’s the Premier League head-to-head for the big clash today.

The two sets of fans will know that while United have the better of the history, they have only beaten Arsenal once in the last eight meetings.

However, the Londoners have triumphed just once in their last 15 league trips to Old Trafford (D5 L9), picking up a 1-0 victory in November 2020.

Furthermore, Arsenal have lost more away games at United in the Premier League-era (17) than they have at any other opponent.
