MANCHESTER UNITED are set to hold talks with Marcus Rashford over a new long-term deal, reports suggest.
Rashford has drastically improved under United manager Erik ten Hag as he has already amassed five goals and three assists in 15 Premier League appearances.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils want to reward the centre-forward with a new contract and will meet his agents in the near future.
Ten Hag is reportedly “obsessed” with the England international and sees him as a key part of his plans at Old Trafford.
Romano tweeted: “Marcus Rashford, completely changed under Erik ten Hag. Fantastic numbers and clear improvement.
“Contract has been extended until June 2024 but Manchester United will meet his agents to offer new long term deal soon. Ten Hag, ‘obsessed’ with MR as key part of project.”

Rashford’s stunning form has also been noticed by some of Europe’s biggest hitters with Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi publicly revealing his interest.
If the 25-year-old doesn’t reach a deal with United then club bosses risk losing him on a cut-price fee next summer – or as free agent in 18 months if he runs down his contract.
Ten Hag recently revealed the Red Devils have already triggered a contract extension for the forward as well as Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Fred.
He said: “Yes, I can confirm it. We are happy because the squad is going in the right direction and those players [have] a massive contribution in that direction.
