MANCHESTER UNITED are set to lose out on transfer target Benjamin Sesko to RB Leipzig, according to reports.
The Red Devils are in the market for a striker amid doubts surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.
Sesko, 19, has been identified as a key target, although United chiefs have baulked at RB Salzburg’s £55million valuation.
The Red Devils had been hoping to negotiate a lower fee, but it now appears to be too late.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig are close to completing a swoop for Sesko from their partner club.
He is set to undergo a medical with the Bundesliga side this week, although won’t move there until 2023.
