MANCHESTER UNITED rejected the chance to sign Christian Pulisic and Memphis Depay during the summer, according to reports.
United endured a manic end to their transfer window as they looked to add fresh recruits for Erik ten Hag’s rebuild project.
In the end, United ended up signing Casemiro and Antony but could have signed a number of other players.
Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel that United were offered more than 15 players between August 15 and 21.
Among these names were Barcelona star Memphis Depay and Chelsea star Christian Pulisic.
Romano revealed United were offered Depay, 28, on a free transfer from Barcelona, while discussions did take place between United and Chelsea for Pulisic, 23.

According to Romano, United submitted a loan offer for Pulisic but Chelsea had no intention of allowing the American to leave unless it was with a permanent transfer.
Napoli winger Hirving Lozano was also offered to the club as a potential solution to their winger issue, but United opted to look elsewhere.
Other players Romano claims United discussed or were offered include: Moises Caicedo, Leandro Paredes, Weston McKennie, Yannick Carrasco, Sergino Dest and Thomas Meunier.
United spent a large proportion of their summer chasing a deal for Frenkie de Jong, to no avail.

But by the time the September 1st deadline passed, six players had been signed by the club.
While Antony got off to a scoring start on his debut, fellow new signings Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia, and Lisandro Martinez have all hit the ground running with impressive displays.
