United were superb despite losing their first two games of the season as Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford earned them victory.

United’s style may have dazzled most pundits but Jordan still did not like the cut of Ten Hag’s gib in the post-match interview.

“Honestly, I know people are going to say negative Jordan.

“But I looked at Ten Hag and I thought, ‘This job’s going to be too big for you.’

“That was my takeaway. I listened to the interview, I watched him stand there.

“And I know you’re going to say, ‘What the hell does this mean?’

“But I looked at a small man in a suit that doesn’t fit him and I thought to myself, ‘You don’t look like I thought you would’.

“Do you know what I thought he’d look like in personality and demeanour, Jaap Stam.”

And Jordan does not even reckon Ten Hag deserves credit for his decision to drop wantaway star Cristiano Ronaldo from the starting line-up.

Jordan added: “Ronaldo isn’t fit. It’s an easy decision not to play Ronaldo, because he isn’t match fit.

“So I don’t look at it and go, ‘Well that was such a brave decision’.”
