Man Utd fans all saying the same thing as Marko Arnautovic scores for Bologna just day after Brentford humiliation

MAN UTD fans are ALL saying the same thing after former transfer target Marko Arnautovic netted for Bologna in Serie A on Sunday.

Last week, it was reported that the Red Devils were locked in talks to sign the former Stoke City striker to lead their forward line, as Cristiano Ronaldo seeks a move away from the club.

The move was met with derision from fans at the time, who were stunned the club were making a move for the 33-year-old Austrian.

That forced Old Trafford big wigs to ditch talks after there was a backlash from supporters, as well as a distance in valuation with the Serie A side on a transfer fee.

On Saturday, United fell to an embarrassing 4-0 defeat against Brentford.

After 35 minutes, they trailed against the Bees – with Ronaldo failing to make an impact upfront.

And just a day after that humbling loss, Arnautovic showed United fans what they are missing by scoring for Bologna against Lazio from the penalty spot.

However, his strike wasn’t enough to win the game against Lazio – as The Greyhounds fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.

That didn’t bother United fans, who wished Arnautovic was now in their team.

Mikias took to Twitter and wrote: “Yes please get Marko Arnautović before another team snaps him up.”

Stein pointed out: “Marko Arnautovic has now scored more goals this season than every Man United player combined.”

Amos Murphy quipped: “Manchester United’s weekend gets even worse as Marko Arnautović has scored for Bologna.”

While Kirkby penned: “Man Utd fans, look away now. Marko Arnautović has scored for Bologna 38 minutes into the new Serie A season.”

Arnautovic, himself, addressed the bid in a press conference after today’s game.

“The market is the market,” he said.

“I’ve been in the world of football for many years and I know there could be clubs interested during the transfer window, but now I am focused on Bologna.”
