Luis Suarez on verge of transfer to Uruguay with first club Nacional as fans celebrate his return with masks of striker

DELIGHTED Nacional fans have been celebrating with Luis Suarez face masks as the striker nears a return to the club.

The 35-year-old is a free agent after his contract at Atletico Madrid expired last month.

The Uruguayan has been linked with a host of clubs since, with a recent report claiming that he had been offered to Borussia Dortmund.

A more recent one has stated that Suarez will now not be heading to Germany.

And instead he is set to return to the club in his homeland that he started his professional career at.

MARCA claims that Nacional president Jose Fuente flew out to Spain in order to convince the star to come back after 16 years away.
