It marks a new chapter in his life, following years away from Anfield rebuilding his career after an infamous error-strewn Champions League final appearance in 2018.

But, in between loan spells at Besiktas and Union Berlin, Karius hasn’t let his Reds nightmare stop him from enjoying life.

The fashionable Chris Hemsworth/Thor lookalike has been spotted letting his hair down at the Monaco Grand Prix, and enjoying lavish breaks away.

However, he hasn’t neglected his fitness – and is a shadow of the lean keeper we remember from before.
