LIVERPOOL are considering a £42million offer for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.
But Seagulls boss Graham Potter has claimed that any club thinking of a cheeky late bid would be lucky to get the Ecuador midfielder’s boots for that price.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been confronted with a midfield crisis early into the season with Thiago, Curtis Jones, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all sustaining injuries.
Caicedo, a £4.5m signing from Independiente in February 2021, has caught the attention of the top six after impressing under Potter.
He was loaned out to Beerschot of Belgium for the first half of last season before returning to spark Brighton’s late surge up the table.
Brighton have lost only one of the 12 league games Caicedo, 20, has started, away to Manchester City in April.

Potter said: “In football you never know, but we are quite calm and confident.
“You’d probably get his boots for that from the chairman — maybe! £100m? They can try.
“It doesn’t surprise me that people are looking at him, because he is playing at a fantastic level.
“He is a top, top kid, a great person, and has all the attributes to play at the very, very highest level.
