  • Brendan Rodgers reflects

We’re disappointed with the goal, that was a bit of naivety. I’ve got to say the players kept going but we lacked that bit of craft and quality in the final third. Obviously James Maddison gives us that but we needed more. As I say the attitude of players was excellent, but it wasn’t enough.

    Brendan Rodgers, Leicester boss

  • Ronaldo eyes up the spectacular

Cristiano Ronaldo attempted a bicycle kick which had fans’ hearts in their mouths.

You wouldn’t out it past him.

  • Sancho getting ‘comfortable’

Match-winner Jadon Sancho shared his thoughts on adjusting to life at Manchester United:

It was agreat team goal, I’m just glad we got the three points. I’m getting more comfortable. It was good to get to know the team in pre-season – I missed it last year – and we worked on a few things.

    Jadon Sancho, Manchester United forward

  • Eriksen wants to start ‘killing games’

Man of the match Christian Eriksen had his say on the performance:

It hasn’t been beautiful for 90 minutes but we have three wins. We want to do better but it’s a good start.

It was similar to Southampton – we have to kill the game earlier, otherwise it will be tight at the end. The games keep coming.

  • FULL-TIME – Leicester 0-1 Manchester United

Craig Pawson blows his whistle and boos ring out around the king Power.

Ten Hag registers his third consecutive win as manager.

Leicester had moments going forward, but were very flat all game and Manchester United never really needed to hit second gear.

Sancho’s first half goal ended up being the winner after rounding the keeper and rolling the ball into an empty net.

United players applaud their corner which is cluttered with flags protesting the Glazer ownership. But the relationship between players and fans is building.

Understandably, the Leicester fans aren’t hanging around.

Vardy’s number is quickly raised. Daka is on for the final few minutes of normal time.

  • Leicester 0-1 Manchester United

    84, Ronaldo IS getting chances.

This time Fernandes slips him in, but his shot is neither here nor there. He would have been better getting his head up and finding Eriksen. But he does look sharp.
