FORMER England striker Jermaine Defoe has shared a snap with acting star Tom Cruise.
Defoe uploaded the photo that shows Cruise with his arm around him to his Instagram account.
The caption was: “What a nice humble guy.. real pleasure to meet Tom Cruise.”
Defoe was out with family and friends for a birthday meal as the ex-Tottenham star turned 40-years-old.
From what Defoe re-posted on his story Cruise approached the birthday celebrations table and spoke to everyone for a few minutes and posed for pictures.
It could’ve been an even more star studded photo with Defoe’s former Sunderland teammate Victor Anichebe commenting on his post saying: “I was there as well, didn’t see you bro.”

They all went to the Amazonico restaurant in Mayfair.
Meeting the Top Gun and Mission Impossible star was the latest part of Defoe’s birthday celebrations – he earlier this week handed out 100 free haircuts to kids in Barking.
He took to social media to tell people: “What I’m doing for all the youngsters that wanna get a fresh trim tomorrow, leave your wallets at home, come down, the first 100 trims are on me tomorrow!”
This comes after a challenging week for the recently retired ace after it emerged he messaged another women for sex soon after he got married.

Defoe is still working in football and is a youth coach at Spurs as well as occasionally doing punditry.
Cruise is a supposedly a big sports fan and has been photographed with ex-Rangers boss Alex McLeish
He also has been seen at the Euro 2020 final as well as Wimbledon cheering on his favourite sports stars such as Nick Kyrgios.
