JACK GREALISH has admitted he found his early days at Manchester City last summer “so difficult”.
The England ace left his boyhood club Aston Villa to make a British record £100 million move to the Etihad in August 2021.

However several of Pep’s signings have taken a season or so to settle in and there are hopes it will be a similar story for Grealish, 26.

“Walking into this new building and not knowing anyone. Then it’s just adapting to the manager here, the way the lads are here.

Having spent all his career at Villa, the move took him out of his comfort zone.
Speaking on a new documentary done by City Studios called ‘Together: Champions Again’ , he said; “It’s a blur now, looking back.
“I’d never even signed for a club before, I’d been at Villa my whole life, I didn’t know what to expect.
“I didn’t even know what you do in a medical. I just wasn’t clued up with stuff like this as I’d never done it.”
Grealish also revealed how his first ever Champions League goal – against RB Leipzig in September – came at something of a cost.
He celebrated by sliding on his knees in front of the City fans – but was left in agony for several days afterwards.
The former Villa Park skipper said; “It was such a special moment, my first Champions League game. I blew a kiss to family.
“But did you see my knees after that? Honestly for about four nights I couldn’t sleep – but it was all worth it.”
