‘I didn’t like him’ – Man Utd hero Rio Ferdinand reveals ‘nasty character’ Fernando Torres left him with horror scar

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Rio Ferdinand revealed he didn’t like ex-Liverpool and Chelsea star Fernando Torres.

The legendary defender claimed the former Spain international stamped so hard on his foot that he needed stitches and an injection at half-time.

The former England international added that he still carries a scar from that incident.

Torres lost his rival’s respect after that game, with the United hero calling him a “nasty character”.

Ferdinand told the Vibe with Five show: “I didn’t like Torres. He stamped on my foot one time in a game when the ball was at the other end.

“[I needed] stiches in my foot. I was playing and the ball was at the other end and we had had a few tussles in the game.

“He was game, trust me. The ball went out at the other end and he just stamped on my foot and there was no ball about anywhere.

“I went in at half time and when I took off my boot it was the worst thing I could have done.

“My foot just went wooosh [mimics foot swelling], I had to get stitches, I had an injection, and I put my boot back on and went out and played.
