How Arsenal could line up against Liverpool with Arteta boasting near-fully fit squad for crunch clash

MIKEL ARTETA is set to boast a near enough fully fit squad for Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.

The only concern is for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who didn’t train for Arsenal earlier in the week.

The summer signing was then not included in the squad for Thursday night’s 3-0 Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt.

Although that decision was precautionary, rather than because of a serious injury, according to football.london.

Kieran Tierney played instead and was subbed off 20 minutes before the end, a hint that the Scotsman could start again on Sunday.

But apart from potentially missing Zinchenko, the Gunners are likely to be unchanged from the side that beat Tottenham 3-1 last week.

The fitness of his squad is a huge bonus for Arteta, who could see his side go 14 points clear of Liverpool with a win.

Three points would also guarantee top spot in the Premier League for another week.

The excellent William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are set to partner each other in the heart of defence once again, looking for a fourth Prem clean sheet of the season.

Ben White is likely to continue at right-back after impressing in the position since being displaced at centre-back by Saliba.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka will line up next to each other in midfield again, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli on the flanks.

Gabriel Jesus will lead the line once again, with skipper Martin Odegaard in behind him.

Alternatively, Zinchenko could be deemed fit to start.

If so, the 25-year-old is a sure starter at left-back over Tierney.

Emile Smith Rowe and Mohamed Elneny remain long-term absentees.
