CRISTIANO RONALDO spoke of being “home sweet home” with his loving family, days after the trauma of losing his newborn son.
Partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28, and the tragic boy’s twin sister returned home, three days after announcing their loss.
Posting on Instagram, the Manchester United legend, 37, thanked fans for their support and added: “Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”
The snap showed Ronaldo cradling the newborn tot in his left arm and holding other daughter Alana Martina with his right.
On Monday, the couple had a boy and a girl, but Ronaldo posted on social media that his newborn son had died.
But last night Ronaldo said: “Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us.

‘Me & my family will never forget’ – Ronaldo thanks Liverpool fans for tribute
“We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures.
“Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family.
“Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”
Last October, he confirmed he and Georgina were expecting twins but made the tragic announcement on Monday that one had died.
The forward wrote: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.
“It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
“Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Ronaldo’s eldest, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, is 11 and was born in June 2010.
The identity of his first-born child’s mother is not known. He was rumoured to have paid a surrogate — but Ronaldo has never confirmed this.
In an interview, Ronaldo told TV host Jonathan Ross: “People speculate I was with this girl or another, or there was a surrogate mother. I have never told anyone and never will.”
Five years ago, in June 2017, the Portuguese ace announced he had fathered twins Eva and Mateo via a surrogate mother in the US.
Then, a month later, he revealed he was expecting his first baby with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, 28, and in November 2017 she gave birth to daughter Alana Martina.
Ronaldo missed the Liverpool game on Tuesday night but later posted a heartfelt thank you to Liverpool fans for their touch of support during the match.
He wrote to his 430million followers: “One world… One sport… One global family… Thanks, Anfield.
“Me and my family will never forget this moment of respect and compassion.”
Ronaldo’s sister Katia Aveiro commented with a series of clapping and prayer emojis.
After thrashing United 4-0, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp described the seventh-minute show of support as the “moment of the game”.
The German said: “It was a real show of class and of course, all our thoughts from the moment we heard about it were for Cristiano and his family and I can’t even imagine how it must be.
