THERE are ten representatives from the Premier League on the 100 player Golden Boy 2022 shortlist.
The award is handed out to Europe’s brightest prospect and last year was scooped up by Barcelona wonderkid Pedri.
And this time round there are ten Prem wonderkids going for the award, representing seven clubs.
Liverpool pair Harvey Elliott and new signing Fabio Carvalho – both of whom came through the ranks at Fulham – are in contention.
Carvalho scored ten goals and produced eight assists to help Fulham into the Premier League while Elliott’s promising-looking season was curtailed by a nasty ankle injury.
Another who has impressed away from the Premier League is Tottenham’s Pape Matar Sarr.

Angel Gomes reveals blast from Mourinho left him on verge of tears
The midfielder starred at Metz after returning to the Ligue 1 club on loan following his £15million transfer to Spurs last summer.
He will likely hope to make an impression on Antonio Conte upon his return and could be in contention for a first-team role next season.
Sarr is one of two African Premier League players on the shortlist with Manchester United’s Amad Diallo the other.
The Ivory Coast youngster failed to break into the first-team at Old Trafford this year but did impress on loan at Rangers – helping Giovani van Bronkhorst’s side win the Scottish Cup.
United team-mate Anthony Elanga has also been recognised for his breakthrough season along with Wolves duo Fabio Silva and former Red Ki-Jana Hoever.
Brighton’s Polish starlet and Manchester City midfielder Yan Kouto are yet to grace the top flight but have also been nominated, along with Leeds’ Joe Gelhardt who scored twice in 2021-22.
Gelhardt is one of three English players to be listed along with Elliott and Jude Bellingham, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Another youngster on the shortlist who has been linked with a summer transfer is RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol.
Chelsea are said to be keen on the defender while his team-mate Brian Brobbey wants to join Erik ten Hag at United after playing under the Dutchman on loan at Ajax this year.
