GARY NEVILLE reckons Paul Scholes has “snapped” after his former team-mate again savaged Manchester United’s midfielders.

The Red Devils fell to an embarrassing 2-1 home defeat to Brighton in their Prem opener yesterday.

Scholes, 47, called Scott McTominay and Fred’s performances in the middle “criminal” immediately after the game.

And he was still fuming the following morning.

He wrote on his Instagram story: “Thoughts for the week.

“MDF’s (midfielders) it’s all about body shape when receiving the ball, too many times facing their own goal and can only play one way…

Over on Twitter, Neville could only laugh at his old pal.

United fans online backed their former star, with one writing: “Why not give Scholes the chance to coach our midfield.”
