Frenkie de Jong’s girlfriend shares snaps of London trip after getting Man Utd and Chelsea fans’ hopes up over transfer


FRENKIE DE JONG and fiancee Mikky Kiemeney have touched down in London for a short city break.

Mikky, 24, shared snaps of the holiday on Instagram as she and De Jong took in the sights of London.

The couple visited Buckingham Palace on Boris bikes and ate at Novikov restaurant in Mayfair.

Mikky also posed next to a red telephone box and took photos of the Queen’s Guard and Tower Bridge before having afternoon tea with the Barcelona star today.

The Dutch former hockey player posted photos on Instagram alongside a caption which reads: “London, for 2 days. 🎞❤️💂🏼‍♀️.”

De Jong was a key transfer target for Manchester United this summer with Chelsea also interested in the midfielder.

So when De Jong arrived at the airport to fly to London many fans were excited by the idea of the Dutchman making a last-minute transfer to the Premier League.

One United fan wrote: “My heat skipped a beat when I saw travelling to London, thought he was joining Chelsea.”

A football fan added: “Something is cooking.”

And another said: “Hmm… why go to England days before the window closes, when you’ve been linked with a move there all summer…just for a holiday?!”

But De Jong is set to stay at the Nou Camp as he and Mikky are happy in Barcelona.

The pair got engaged on holiday in Mexico in July having dated since they were teens, and they look set to continue their adventure together in Catalonia.
