EVERTON boss Frank Lampard has been slapped with a £30,000 fine by the FA following comments he made after the 2-0 defeat against Liverpool.
The 43-year-old raged that Anthony Gordon should have been given a spot-kick in the loss against the Toffees’ Merseyside rivals at Anfield last month.

After Joel Matip was somehow judged to not have bundled over the England youth international, the ex-Chelsea gaffer stated: “It was a penalty, you don’t get them at Anfield.
“If that was Mohamed Salah at the Kop end, I think [the referee] gives that. It was a foul on Anthony.”
His comments have seen him punished by the FA, with England’s governing body insisting Lampard brought the game into disrepute.

Everton ‘foolish’ if they don’t axe Alli before Spurs bonuses kick in – Dunne An FA spokesperson said: “An independent Regulatory Commission has fined Frank Lampard £30,000 after finding a charge against him for breaching FA Rule E3 in relation to media comments proven during a personal hearing.
“The Everton FC manager made the comments after their Premier League game against Liverpool FC on Sunday 24 April 2022.
“And he denied that they constitute improper conduct as they imply bias and/or attack the integrity of the match referee — or referees generally — and/or bring the game into disrepute.”
Following the defeat away at Liverpool, Everton wrote to the Professional Game Match Officials Board to explain why the penalty was not awarded.

To which the PGMOL said they would have had “no complaints” if Attwell had given Everton a spot-kick.
It wasn’t the first time that Everton were denied what appeared to be a blatant penalty, after Rodri escaped unpunished after handling the ball during Manchester City’s 1-0 win at Goodison Park.
Once again Lampard was quick to slam the officials, as he insisted that his three-year-old daughter could tell that was a penalty.
Everton subsequently received an apology from the PGMOL.
Thankfully for Lampard and Everton, the key decisions didn’t prove costly as they avoided relegation by four points.
