FOOTBALL fans have compared Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte’s handshake to Carl Froch and George Groves’ infamous exchange in 2014.
The Chelsea boss and Tottenham gaffer squared up following Sunday’s 2-2 at Stamford Bridge which saw both managers sent off.
They initially came head-to-head after Conte celebrated Spurs’ controversial equaliser in the second half in front of the German.
And they then again threatened to come to blows after Tuchel refused to let his counterpart’s hand go during a handshake.
It was reminiscent of what Groves did to Froch during their ‘Gloves Are Off’ special for their Wembley rematch eight years ago.
With the pair shaking each others hand at the end of the programme, Groves failed to let go before pulling him in.

Froch angrily reacted by yanking the Blues fan towards his side of the table.
And fans have taken to social media to comment on the similarities of the two incidents.
Sharing a clip of Froch and Groves, one user tweeted: “Tuchel and Conte at full-time.”
Another remarked: “Conte and Tuchel moving like George Groves and Carl Froch.”

A third added: “Hahahaha that Tuchel vs Conte handshake was fantastic. Like Groves vs Froch on the gloves are off. Best part of the game.”
This supporter then said: “Tuchel and Conte doing the best Froch and Groves impression.”
Meanwhile one simply stated: “Conte and Tuchel going full Froch and Groves there.”
YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has backed Tuchel to beat Conte in a boxing fight should the pair ever come to blows.
The American believes that Conte’s failure to look Tuchel in the eyes shows that he is fearful of the 48-year-old.
He tweeted: “Fear is clear when you don’t look at your opponent in their eyes.
“Tuchel would KO Conte and I would pay money to see it.”
