THE FA Cup is heading into its last four as teams dream of the final in May.

Chelsea are already through after a 2-0 win at Middlesbrough in front of a small portion of away fans due to government sanctions on Roman Abramovich.

    Michael Owen reckons Liverpool will be too strong for Nottingham Forest today.

    He said on his BetVictor blog: “It’s great to see Forest in the latter stages, it’s been a great run for them,” Owen said on his BetVictor blog.

    “They’ve given teams problems at the City Ground, but Liverpool are looking too strong at the moment.

    “I can’t think of a more form team in Europe than Liverpool.”

  • Lampard on Everton loss

    Everton boss Frank Lampard wasn’t happy after the Toffees were dumped out of the FA Cup at the hands of Crystal Palace.

    He fumed after the game: “The dream of getting to the semi-final and playing at Wembley, they’ve gone.

    “As far as I’m concerned, the biggest prize this season was staying in the Premier League – I came to the club knowing that.

    “That’s the focus now.“

  • Zaha fancies Palace’s chances

    Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zaha is adamant that the Eagles have still got more to offer in the FA Cup.

    Speaking after his side disposed of Everton to ease into the final four, Zaha beamed: “It’s amazing. It’s crazy that it is the first year this team has played together – and you can see the progress already.

    “Over time, when the team gels together more, there is more to come.

    “It shows [reaching the FA Cup semi final] what direction the club is going. The players we brought in and how we play, it is just showing what we have got for the future.”

    The FA Cup semi-final draw will take place TODAY just before Liverpool take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

    Forest have a huge task on their hands against a rampant Reds side who have won nine games on the trot this year.

    Chelsea have already booked their place in the last four after a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday night.

    Boro had a good run in the competition after knocking out both Premier League giants Manchester United and Tottenham.

    But the Championship side were brought crashing down by the mighty Blues despite their problems off the pitch.

    And the Blues were joined in the semi’s by Crystal Palace who thumped Everton 4-0 on Sunday afternoon.

    The Toffees’ defeat added to the woes of boss Frank Lampard who’s desperately trying to keep the club away from relegation.

    The last place in the final four will belong to either Manchester City or Southampton who are also going head to head on Sunday.
