FORMER Rangers star Joe Worrall was forced IN GOAL for the final 13 minutes of Nottingham Forest’s dramatic game with Stoke City.
The former Light Blues defender took over the gloves after keeper Brice Samba’s red card – with all their subs already used.
Lewis Baker slotted home his penalty past the ex-Rangers stopper as the visitors looked to have secured all three points at the City Ground.
However, Ryan Yates snatched an injury-time leveller to salvage a point for the home side to keep them in the hunt for the play-offs.
The result leaves Forest seventh in the English Championship standings – just two points behind Middlesbrough and one further back on Huddersfield in fifth.
Worrall took to social media after the thrilling draw to show his stint in goals wasn’t a one-off after starring as a goalkeeper in his younger days.
Alongside the throwback image he uploaded a picture of himself in action yesterday with the caption: “How it started. How it’s going.”
Speaking after the draw, head coach Steve Cooper said: “I’m never going to say a point is a good one at home, but I think today we have to accept it.
