FORMER Newcastle defender Olivier Bernard has been hammered for his running of Durham City after they withdrew from all competitions.
This comes after they made a disastrous start to the season.
The Frenchman is current owner of the 11th-tier club, who shipped 128 GOALS and scored just twice in 13 games before pulling out.
Bernard confirmed the news on Twitter by saying: “As from today Chris Tanner and his Zenit team will no longer be part of the Durham City Football Club.”
As a result, angry fans have been demanding the ex-Toon Army star to sell up.
That’s because the Division One Wearside League side, who have suffered two relegations since he purchased the back nine years ago, have tasted victory ONCE since 2019.

Another angry fan admitted: “Please sell to the fans. We’ve been through enough already. No more experiments.”
A third simply responded: “What a mess.”
A fourth added: “Hope ya happy what a shower of s***e you have caused. Unreal.”
