NEMANJA MATIC claims trolling of Harry Maguire has hit “disaster” levels.
Maguire’s former Manchester United team-mate believes people “who don’t have their own lives” are targeting the England centre-back.
Three Lions’ boss Gareth Southgate still regards the 29-year-old as his main man defensively – despite United axing him.
England host Germany on Monday after five winless games with Southgate describing “important” Maguire as dominant in the air and one of the world’s best players at taking the ball out from the back.
Three Lions’ fans, though, have booed the £80million ex-Leicester star and taunted him on social media.
But Roma midfielder Matic told The Times: “What people are doing to him, it is a disaster.
“Everything has to have limits and some of these people writing on social media, they don’t have their own lives, so they just have to write bad things about someone else.”

“On my form, I don’t know what has been said, I don’t really read about it.
“I came off the back of three positive games with England in the summer, and a good pre-season. I felt really good.

“I am not concentrating on anybody else and what people are saying.”
Maguire also hinted his status makes him an easy target.
He said: “I think if people can make a story about me, I am Manchester United captain, it is going to make big news.
“So, that is the reason they do it, they like the clicks, and things like that.
