EVERTON have been dealt a huge injury blow with defender Ben Godfrey sidelined for THREE MONTHS following a horror injury against Chelsea.
Godfrey broke his leg just ten minutes into Everton’s 1-0 Premier League defeat.
The 24-year-old ended up worse off following a challenge with Kai Havertz.
Everton said: “Ben Godfrey underwent successful surgery this morning on the fractured fibula he sustained.
“The defender will now begin rehabilitation at Finch Farm under the care of the club’s medical team and is expected to be out for around three months.”
Everton are also without striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin for six weeks.

The striker suffered an injury setback on the eve of the new Premier League season.
Boss Frank Lampard said: “Losing a player of Dom’s quality is obviously going to have an impact.
“I think we’re probably looking around six weeks for the injury.”
To soften the blow, the Toffees have started to get busy in the transfer market.

Wolves defender and England international Conor Coady has also joined the club to help plug the gaps.
