CHELSEA fans are desperate for Emma Hayes to be appointed as Thomas Tuchel’s successor.
Hayes, 45, has been in charge of Chelsea Women for 10 years and has won 12 trophies during her reign.
Since Hayes took over as Blues boss Chelsea’s men’s team has gone through nine different managers, with varying success.
BeIN Sports presenter Richard Keys led the calls for Hayes to take over, with several fans in agreement.
Keys tweeted: “I wonder if anyone at Chelsea has considered Emma Hayes for the vacancy running the men’s team? Why not?
“She knows the club as well as anyone. Her coaching record is impeccable. After the Lionesses’ success this summer what a statement it would be.”

A Chelsea fan wrote: “On a serious note I’d prefer Emma Hayes to manage our club instead of Pochettino.”
Another added: “Surely the club needs stability. Should promote from within. The obvious option is surely Emma Hayes?? A proven winner and club legend.”
And a third said: “Any chance Emma Hayes can manage both teams :(.”
But Hayes looks set to miss out after Graham Potter met with Chelsea chiefs to discuss a move.
