Cristiano Ronaldo brings Lisbon to a standstill as £500k fleet of supercars is shipped to Portugal after Man Utd exit

CRISTIANO RONALDO brought the streets of Lisbon to a standstill on Tuesday when his £500,000 fleet of supercars was delivered to a backstreet garage for valet cleaning.

A huge lorry took the striker’s prized £150,000 Cadillac Escalade – a gift for his 37th birthday from Wag Georgina Rodriguez – and his £300,000 Bentley Flying Spur from his rented mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire – just hours before Man Utd bosses announced they were ripping up his contract.

A week later the same vehicles were spotted by onlookers being delivered following a 1,500-mile journey to an exclusive car valet garage on the outskirts of his home town.

An onlooker said: “The delivery driver tried to unload them with as little fuss as possible, but the lorry blocked the road and that created a bit of a traffic backlog.

“Then the Escalade and the Bentley rolled out of the back and they are very eye-catching.

“They tried to get them into the garage as quickly as possible, but the cars still had British plates so it was pretty easy to work out they belong to Ronaldo.

“Maybe he wants to get them home while he plots his next move on the football pitch.”

United signed Ronaldo in 2003 as a teenager after Sir Alex Ferguson saw him play for Sporting Lisbon in a friendly against the Red Devils.

He has been linked with a move back to Lisbon after parting company with United earlier this month following a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan’s TalkTV show in which he criticised the United owners and manager Erik ten Hag.

A move back to Lisbon would please his mum Dolores who said in September 2021: “Ronaldo has to come back (to Sporting), he’d be here for me. He likes watching Sporting’s games.

“I’ve already told him: ‘Son, before I die I want to see you return to Sporting’. ‘Let’s see…’, he said.”

Ronaldo owns a hotel in the city and a £6m penthouse flat in the city centre.

Spanish media reported on Wednesday the Portuguese superstar has agreed a £173m-a-year deal with Saudi side Al Nassr, which would run until he is 40.

Ronaldo and his Portugal team-mates have already qualified for the last 16 of the World Cup after winning their first two group games.

They play South Korea on Friday.
