PSV star Cody Gakpo remains keen on signing for Manchester United, according to reports.
The Dutch winger wants a transfer after impressing in the Eredivisie and World Cup this year.
Gakpo supposedly wanted to join Man Utd in the summer, but a move did not materialise.
Discussions between the club and the player’s agent have always been positive and it’s now the Red Devils’ decision whether they pursue a deal, claims journalist Fabrizio Romano.
PSV want £52million for their talisman and talks with United chiefs are ongoing with the Dutch side admitting they may have to sell in January.
Manager and ex-United hero Ruud van Nistelrooy recently said: “If I have the choice, I prefer the summer, but it can also be now, you know there comes a time when you can’t say no.”

Gakpo netted three goals in Qatar for the Netherlands, proving he can do it on the biggest stage.
For his club, the 23-year-old has been in outstanding form netting 13 goals and registering 17 assists in just 24 matches.
Man Utd are looking to bring in extra attackers during the approaching transfer window due to Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club.
Gakpo predominately plays on the left and would allow Marcus Rashford to move inside and take up the No.9 role.

Erik ten Hag’s side have also been linked with more out-and-out strikers such as the likes of Goncalo Ramos and Memphis Depay.
But if United don’t sign Gakpo in January then they risk missing out on him completely with Real Madrid reportedly monitoring him.
Southampton and Leeds were close to signing Gakpo in the summer, but the player stayed at PSV in the hope a bigger side would come in for him.
