Monaco are therefore the favourites to sign the 23-year-old.

They finished 3rd in Ligue 1 last year and can offer him Champions League football.

Fulham reportedly submitted a bid for Sarr with boss Marco Silva a big admirer of the Frenchman – but they could be snubbed by the former France Under-21 star.

Sarr, who is predominately a centre-back but can also fill in at left-back, has played for Chelsea 21 times.

He signed for the Blues in 2020 from Nice and immediately joined Porto on loan.

Most of his appearances for Chelsea have come in cup competitions as he was restricted to a back-up role last season.

Keen to gain some first-team minutes, he is set to go out on loan again with his chances in West London blocked.

Manager Thomas Tuchel has already signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and remains keen on adding more central defenders to his squad with RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol linked.
