CHELSEA have sensationally enquired about the availability of Harry Maguire, it’s claimed.
The Manchester United captain came up during talks over a move for Blues forward Christian Pulisic, report the Daily Mail.
It is not clear what Manchester United’s stance was when Maguire came up.
The England International has endured at torrid time of late.
He has skippered his team to two dreadful defeats so far this season, including the humiliating 4-0 loss to Brentford.
The Manchester Evening News reported that he will be dropped for Manchester United’s next game when bitter rivals Liverpool visit Old Trafford on Monday night.

Chelsea have spent the summer rebuilding their back line.
Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger left for Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Malang Sarr has gone on loan to Monaco and there continues to be speculation that Marcos Alonso will also depart.
Kalidou Koulibaly has been brought in from Napoli and Marc Cucurella has joined from Brighton.
But there remains room to reinforce the back line further.

And with Thiago Silva on the verge of turning 38, a move for Maguire, 29, would go a long way to addressing Chelsea’s defence for the long term.
Chelsea have also been pursuing Leicester’s Wesley Fofana, but with the Foxes putting a valuation of £85million on the 21-year-old Frenchman the deal has stumbled.
The Mail report that Fofana remains the priority and that he’s requested to be left out of Leicester’s squad for their game against Southampton this weekend as he agitates for a move.
