MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Casemiro produced a masterful display as Erik ten Hag’s side beat Tottenham 2-0 on Wednesday night.
The five-time Champions League winner, 30, partnered Fred in front of the Red Devils’ back four and played an integral part in their victory over Antonio Conte’s men.
Casemiro had 71 touches in the game and played 59 passes across his 87 minutes – before he was replaced by Christian Eriksen late on.
A total of 50 passes he attempted were successful, while he recovered possession on a startling TEN occasions.
He won six duels, made two interceptions and four tackles.
And he even contributed to the attack, making eight passes into the final third – more than any other player.

He also created two chances and had two shots of his own.
It was a statement performance from Casemiro – who endured a rocky start to life in England.
He made a big mistake early on against Everton earlier this month, but he is beginning to show signs of the class which saw him become a five-time European champion with Real Madrid.
He has started each of United’s last three Premier League games, with Ten Hag’s men conceding just once across those matches.

Ferdinand said: “The moment he [Casemiro] has got back in the team, been given a run in the team, he’s producing the performances that we expected.
“But the biggest thing, he is like the glue in the team, but also he is the one that allows other players to go and perform.
“He protects the back four, he releases the midfielders to go and do their creative stuff. I think he’s a fabulous acquisition that we’ve got.
