BRACE yourselves football lovers as the Carabao Cup draw is happening TONIGHT – and some Premier League sides will be in the mix.

Liverpool pipped Chelsea to the trophy last campaign following a gruelling penalty shoot-out.

However, neither side will enter the frame at this stage having both qualified for Europe.

But there will be 13 other top-flight teams for the lower league participants to sink their teeth into.

When is the Carabao Cup draw?

The Carabao Cup draw is set to take place TONIGHT – Wednesday, August 10.

It is scheduled to get underway after the conclusion of Sheffield Wednesday’s encounter with Sunderland – approximately 10pm UK time.

Ex-footballers Michael Gray and Clinton Morrison are expected to conduct the draw alongside host Mark Chapman.

Will the Carabao Cup draw be on TV and can I live stream it?

Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football will broadcast the action live in the UK.

Subscription members of Sky Sports have the option to stream the entire draw live via the Sky Go app or the Sky Sports website.

Below are all of the important dates for this year’s Carabao Cup:

  • 2nd Round: Aug. 23-25
  • 3rd Round (Rd of 32): Nov. 8-10
  • 4th Round (Rd of 16): Dec. 20-22
  • Quarter-finals: Jan. 10-12
  • Semi-finals: Jan. 24-26 (1st leg), Jan. 31-Feb. 2 (2nd leg)
  • Final: Sun, Feb. 26

Will there be extra time?

Every round in the Carabao Cup leading up to the semi-final will go straight to penalties should the teams finish level after 90 minutes.

However, the last four is scheduled to play over two legs and extra time will be in effect for the semi-final alongside the final if necessary.
