BRENTFORD have reached an agreement to sign Mikkel Damsgaard, according to reports.
The Danish midfielder has been in talks to sign for Brentford, and personal terms have now finally been agreed between the two parties.
Fabrizio Romano has reported Damsgaard will make his way to England next week to complete his medical and finalise the deal.
Brentford will pay £12.6million to Serie A side Sampdoria to sign him.
Damsgaard has previously been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham, with his performances at Euro 2020 drawing attention.
The 22-year-old scored a stunning free-kick for Denmark in the semi-final against England and subsequently drew interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Now a year on, Brentford are set to bring him into the club for far less.
The deal will represent the fifth signing of the window for Thomas Frank’s side.
The Bees have already completed deals for Arsenal-linked Aaron Hickey and Keane-Lewis Potter for a combined £34m.
