Toney blazed wide of the mark with the goal at his mercy with 20 minutes left to play.

Referee Thomas Bramall waved play on, and stuck to his original decision when asked to consult the pitchside monitor.

Bournemouth should they should have had another penalty in the dying stages, but Mathias Jensen was handed a reprieve after the ball clearly struck his arm by the full-time whistle.
