BIRMINGHAM CITY have announced the release of EIGHT players but also handed out new contracts.
The Blues have decided to go ahead with a summer cull following the conclusion of their Championship campaign.
Birmingham City ace Kristian Pedersen is among eight players released from the club Credit: PA Among the players departing is Kristian Pedersen, who has been with the club since 2018 when he joined from Union Berlin and made a total of 161 appearances.
However, Pedersen will be released at the end of his contract, which runs out on June 30.
The same goes for Jeremie Bela, who’s also set to become a free agent this month after three years with Birmingham.
Yoane Zohore, Renedi Masampu, Archie Matthews, Oriol Soldevila, Kane Thompson-Sommers and Connal Trueman are also set to leave.
