BAYERN MUNICH star Manuel Neuer has revealed he’s been suffering from skin cancer on his face.
The Germany great has had to undergo surgery three times to get it treated.
Neuer, 36, made the revelation after investing in a German sun cream alongside tennis icon Angelique Kerber.
The Bayern ace, regarded as one of the best goalies ever, was seen wearing a plaster on his face in December last year.
It raised questions in his homeland about a possible illness.
And Neuer has now bravely revealed he had skin cancer on his face, requiring three surgeries in the process.

Speaking alongside Kerber, he said: “We both have a history of skin diseases. In my case, skin cancer on my face, which required three surgeries.
“When it comes to sunscreen, we have therefore paid attention to maximum protection.
“Since we train outside all the time and also like to spend our free time in nature, it is essential for us to start with modern sun protection filters and a sun protection factor of 50+.
“So we know for sure that we have a sunscreen that protects us continuously and with which hardly anything can burn.”

Neuer is now suffering with a shoulder injury that is threatening to derail his World Cup dream with Germany.
It comes after he had knee surgery earlier this year.
The gloveman has already been sidelined for a month with the issue.
And it remains to be seen if he can return for Bayern before the start of Qatar 2022.
But Neuer is still regarded as a key German player and is expected to make Hansi Flick’s squad if there is a chance of playing at the tournament.
