REAL MADRID inflicted another painful blow on Barcelona as Federico Valverde’s extra-time goal sent Los Blancos into the Super Cup final.
It’s been a dismal season for Barca so far, with the Catalan giants currently sixth in La Liga and 17 points behind Los Blancos.
And despite mustering a 2-2 draw in normal time thanks to a late equaliser from Ansu Fati, it was Madrid celebrating at full time.

Barcelona looked promising on the attack and had more shots than their opposition.
Pedri put in a great performance despite coming back from injury and will only continue to gain fitness.

Stand-out performances
Vinicius and Benzema were too much for the Barcelona defence to handle, especially on the counter-attacks which were frequent throughout the game.
Dembele had a good performance for Barca, but the team as a whole lacked efficiency in front of goal.
